Saturday Ladies Pennants Matchplay The third and final round of this pennants competition was played at Te Puke last Sunday. Robyn King, Judy Crawford, Rose Thompson and Jan Annabell came up against a red hot Waihi team, who beat our team on the day, and took the overall 1st place. Our team finished 4th equal overall. Nancy MacCormick Foursomes The entry sheets are up in the Ladies Locker Room so get your entries in, for 36 holes on Tuesday the 21st or Saturday 28th, or, two separate rounds of 18, on Tuesday 21st & Tuesday 28th May. Waihi Ladies Open Tournament This is happening next Tuesday the 17th May, and there are still vacancies. The poster is up in our Ladies Locker Room, but unfortunately it was too big a document to load on the Monday Bulletin. If you are interested, you can enter by ringing their office, or check out the poster. Ladies Matchplay Championships Most semi finals are being played this week, or have already been played, so all divisions are on target for the finals on Sunday 26th May. I had the privilege of joining two ladies playing their semi final yesterday. They are both wonderful ladies, who both played great golf, including separate pars on the 14th and 15th. The match was decided by a putt on the 18th. Very entertaining golf Mary Findlay and Sue Muir! (the latter being the victor) |
