General Managers Message
Dayne Bulloch

Kia ora kotou,

Thank you to everyone that has given feedback given on the clubhouse design, that has been collated and passed onto the Clubhouse Development Committee.

The 7th cart part is almost finished with one more small concrete pour only needed to complete the path.  The volunteers have done an amazing job, and the path fits in nicely to the design of the 7th hole.  You may have noticed a number of trees coming down at the moment, these are trees that are either dead or are damaged and could be dangerous if a storm was to come through.  The advantage with the trees coming down is that it gives members the opportunity to stick up on firewood for the winter!

Over the last week or so you may have seen a few new faces on staff front.  We would like to welcome Scott and Keith to the team, I'm sure everyone will welcome them to the team as we get them up to speed.

Enjoy the week!

With the continued high use of our course by both members and visitors I am sure you all agree that, even with the great work being done by our Green Staff, the tees and greens are taking a hiding.  Please ensure you have your sand bucket handy to repair the divots in the tees or utilize the ones provided.  It is only a few extra seconds to fill your divot or somebody else’s with sand.

The same applies to the greens, make sure you have your pitch repairer in your pocket and not only repair yours but repair a couple of others that are handy.  If we all do this the greens will recover much faster.

9 Hole Ladies
Yvonne Hoskins

Not a lot to report this week......  a group of the nine hole ladies went to Fairview to play golf.  Once again the weather was kind (long may it last) and some good scores were recorded.  The game, lunch and social side was enjoyable.  Next week we start our competitions.  Hopefully the good scores will continue.

Twilight Night
Another fun evening of golf was enjoyed in perfect conditions, with the course looking stunning. It was fantastic to see so many Juniors out on the course, having a great time. A big shout-out to all our sponsors for their continued support!

The 7th cart path is almost complete, with the final concrete pour scheduled for Monday (weather permitting). At the same time, we’ll also complete the bridge slab.

During the week, I attended Ken Ellison's funeral. Kath, what a talented family you have, the music was beautiful and brought back some wonderful memories.

Course Care Reminder
With the growing number of members, we’ve noticed an increase in damage to the greens. Please remember to fix your pitch marks, and if you see any others, take a moment to repair them. Pitch repairers are available in the office.

Volunteers Needed
We need helpers for the Monday concrete pour at 9am. If you’re available, please contact Colin Gee.

Happy golfing!
